  This ferment is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It soothes skin inflammation by suppressing NF-κB, a transcription factor that regulates pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-α and IL-6. Additionally, it acts as a humectant, enhancing skin hydration by attracting moisture and reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). In skincare, it soothes and calms skin, improves hydration, and has antiaging effects.
