Tattoo aftercare backed by scientific ingredients designed to brighten and enhance the vibrancy and brilliance of any tattoo. Proteya’s advanced tattoo healing enzyme lotion formula uses myristyl nicotinate, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and proteolytic enzymes to help strengthen and protect skin. It can be used immediately after the procedure to sooth pain and itching and decrease redness. This tattoo aftercare is an essential part of daily application to add definition, depth and contrast to your body art. Works quickly to diminish any itching or irritation on fresh ink, allowing your skin to heal quickly and naturally. It can be used with Proteya Daily Revitalizing Facial Cleanser to safely clean a new tattoo.
I like to use this to speed healing of acne scabs, tattoos, and other wounds. It does not irritate sensitive skin. Remember to avoid sun exposure until the wound heals!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use niacinamide to treat scabs, abrasions, new tattoos and other wounds?
Yes this healing lotion protects and speeds healing of any wounds and is great to make acne scabs heal faster.
Will niacinamide or myristyl nicotinate fade tattoo ink?
No, niacinamide and myristyl nicotinate do not fade tattoo ink. While niacinamide can lighten surface pigmentation by reducing melanin transfer, tattoo ink is deposited deeper in the dermis and isn’t affected by this process. These ingredients may, however, help even out hyperpigmentation around the tattoo.
How often should I wash and moisturize during tattoo healing?
Clean your tattoo 1–3 times daily using Proteya Daily Revitalizing Facial Cleanser. Gently pat dry or let it air dry. Follow with a thin layer of an unscented, niacinamide-containing lotion—such as Proteya Tattoo Recovery Lotion—which supports skin repair without clogging pores. These formulas often include enzymes and anti-inflammatory agents to calm irritation, reduce scabbing, and promote faster healing without compromising the tattoo.
