Experience effortless sun protection with Alastin Silk Shield All Mineral SPF 30, a lightweight, water and sweat resistant physical sunscreen that makes daily skincare a breeze. This broad-spectrum sunscreen with 19.95% Zinc Oxide is transparent on skin and provides UVA/UVB and blue light defense with an SPF of 30. The inclusion of anti-aging peptides supports your skin’s natural production of healthy elastin and collagen, enhancing a youthful appearance. This moisturizing sunscreen delivers long-lasting hydration, with many users reporting their skin feels hydrated throughout the day. Dry skin types should use over a moisturizer, while oily types can use this in place of a moisturizer.
Water resistant 40 minutes. No white residue.
Winner of SHAPE "Best Tinted Moisturizer 2021" Beauty Award.
Free of parabens, chemical sunscreens, formaldehyde, and fragrances. Noncomedogenic.
I like using this sunscreen over a barrier repair moisturizer in dry skin patients. Although it is lightweight, it is too heavy to use over a moisturizer if you have oily skin. Oily skin types can use it instead of a moisturizer. It can function as a makeup primer because of the silicones in it. Make sure you wahs it off completely at night so it won't clog pores.
