Should I be concerned about SYN®-HYCAN's safety due to its classification by EWG?

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) lists concerns primarily related to the fluorinated component trifluoroacetate in its structure. The EWG's concerns are mainly based on PFA's effects on the environment.  However, in the context of topical skincare, the peptide is considered safe to humans when used in recommended concentrations.
