Key ingredients
Cocamidopropyl Betaine, derived from coconut oil, is a mild amphoteric surfactant often used in sulfate-free formulations. It is not a sulfate and can function as both anionic and cationic, depending on pH. With moderate detergent strength, it offers gentle cleansing without the harshness of sulfates like SLS. It is generally low in irritation, making it suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin. Although derived from coconuts, it is considered semi-synthetic due to the chemical processes involved.
