Derma Made AHA+BHA Peel Pads exfoliate the skin, removing
dead cells to reveal a brighter, more even complexion. They target dark spots,
hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging, leaving the skin smoother and glowing. They also help unclog pores
and give skin a glow.
The frequency of use depends on which Baumann Skin Type you
are. In resistant skin types it is recommended to use Derma Made AHA+BHA Peel
Pads 2-3 times a week for optimal results. Apply them to clean skin, and if the
tingling sensation is too strong, you can rinse off the product after a minute. Sensitive skin types should use less
frequently. Never use hydroxyacids peels if your skin is stinging, red, or
peeling.
Derma Made AHA+BHA Peel Pads contain 20% glycolic acid (an
AHA) and 0.5% salicylic acid (a BHA). Glycolic acid exfoliates the surface of
the skin, while salicylic acid penetrates deeper to unclog pores and reduce
acne. There is no
fragrance, paraben, or formaldehyde.
Derma Made AHA+BHA Peel Pads are formulated for resistant
skin types and may cause irritation in very sensitive skin. However, they can
be great for acne-prone skin types- especially oily, acne-prone skin- if you do
not have rosacea symptoms or stinging.
Yes, the combination of AHA and BHA in Derma Made AHA+BHA
Peel Pads helps to exfoliate and clear pores, making them effective for
treating acne and preventing future breakouts.
Do not use these when beginning or increasing the strength of a a retinoid like retinol, tretinoin, or adapalene.
Be very careful combining this with benzoyl peroxide and other exfoliants. Over
exfoliation can cause acne purging.
These peel pads can be too irritating for rosacea-prone
skin. Try the Derma Made Medi Wash and Azelaic Acid 155 cream instead if you
have active rosacea.
All hydroxyacids reduce your natural sun protection a few
SPF points. Make sure you are vigilant about sunscreen if you use these pads.
Many tweens and teens are using exfoliating products that
are unnecessary. Tweens and teens should take the Baumann Skin Type Quiz before
using peels to see if they are appropriate. In most cases, exfoliating tween and teen
skin can cause more harm than good if the proper skin care routine is not
followed.
