Obagi is a top skincare brand worldwide most known for its ability to treat melasma and hyperpigmentation. In the 90s the Obagi Blue Peel was one of the first mid depth chemical peels. Today their most popular products contain skin lighteners, retinol and Vitamin C. In the past they had hydroquinone and tretinoin but those are now only available by prescription. The FDA made hydroquinone only available by prescription in Sept 2020 when all OTC hydroquinone ad to be removed from cosmetics as part of the CARES act. Obagi still has prescription hydroquinone such as Obagi NuDerm Clear and Obagi NuDerm Fix, Obagi NuDerm Blender, and Obagi NuDerm Sunfader. You need a prescription from your doctor for these.
Obagi Tretinoin
Obagi has retinol products available without a prescription. Retinol is a type of retinoid. Tretinoin is the prescription form of retinoid. Obagi also sells tretinoin, but it requires a prescription from your doctor.
Obagi Clenziderm
Obagi Clenziderm is Obagi's Acne Care Line. It has an entire therapeutic acne skincare kit and includes an acne cleanser and a noncomedogenic moisturizer and a pore therapy toner with salicylic acid.
